THE CLAY EXPERIENCE

It’s a Pottery Party: Make and paint your own functional pottery in a single visit!
In the Turning Bull Pottery Studio in Nairn: For a group of 6 participants.
Create your own piece of fully functional pottery! You will stretch, roll, and mold the clay into shape and decorate it by stamping and painting. This project will be of your own design and creativity, each will be unique. I will clear glaze and fire your pottery and it will be ready for pickup within 3-4 weeks. Your pottery will be safe for food and for use in the microwave, oven and dishwasher.
The session begins with a 5-minute warm-up; a fun little exercise to get your creative juices flowing and your hands dirty.
AND…Watch a demonstration of the potter's wheel and maybe even give it a try! Note that it’s not possible to keep and fire one-time attempts because of the number of steps involved in finishing wheel-thrown pottery. Wheel-thrown pottery attempts will be simply for the fun of the experience.
Treats Tray:
Create a plate up to 8” in diameter.
2 hour session, $45 per person + hst.
Minimum 6 participants
Serving Platter:
Create a serving plate or tray 8-14” in diameter.
2.5 hour session, $60 per person + hst.
Mininum 6 participants
Mug:
Create a functional mug!
3 hour session, $75 per person + hst.
Minimum 6 participants
